Set inside Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam’s telling of Ambarīṣa and Durvāsā, this book follows Durvāsā’s journey into a new realm of devotion. We watch the slight, the curse, and Sudarśana’s pursuit of Durvāsā across worlds; we watch the proud sage discover that neither Brahmā nor Śiva can shield him; and we arrive with him at Lord Viṣṇu’s feet—who refuses to overrule the offence and sends Durvāsā back to beg forgiveness from the Vaiṣṇava he wronged.

Through His instructions to Durvāsā, the Lord conveys the pastime’s central message: “I am completely under the control of My devotees.” Drawing from the commentaries of our ācāryas, this retelling is both meditation and guidance, accessible to all ages.
