The opening volume of the Kṛṣṇa in Vṛndāvana series presents the gopīs’ celebrated Song of the Flute, woven together with insights from Śrīdhara Svāmī, Jīva Gosvāmī, Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura, and Śrīla Prabhupāda. Through a chapter-by-chapter narrative, the verses unfold in a way that is ideal for both congregational reading and personal meditation.

In this volume, Śivarāma Swami takes us deep into the forests of Vṛndāvana at the time of autumn, when the sound of Kṛṣṇa’s flute awakens the hearts of the gopīs. Their voices rise in wonder, describing how every creature—the rivers, the birds, the cows, the clouds, even the earth herself—becomes enchanted by that song. Moving verse by verse, the book reveals not only the sweetness of the Veṇu-gītā, but also how our ācāryas have cherished it for centuries as a window into the highest moods of devotion.

Complete with appendices of Sanskrit verses, short biographies of the commentators, and reference notes, this book is both an offering for meditation and a guide for study. It invites readers to hear the gopīs’ voices, to see Vṛndāvana through their eyes, and to savour the first drops of mādhurya-rasa that flow from the Tenth Canto of the Bhāgavatam.

This is the most wonderful book describing Krishna's pastimes in Vrindavana. A must for anyone interested in practicing Vaisnavism and devotion to Lord Krishna. Writing is very authentic as it is based on the writings of the previous Gurus in the disciplic succession. Highly recomended.

This is a fantastic book outlining the pastimes of Lord Krishna in Vrindavana. It is beatifully written by the author, who is obviously both a scholar and initiate into the mysteries of Bhakti Yoga. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the bhakti spiritual tradition. It really changed my life and his other books have been equally inspiring.

Captivating pastimes, what’s even better is that throughout maharaja weaves in the relevant philosophy and tattva behind the pastimes from the acaryas commentaries, but he puts it in story form so it’s digestable

Mesmerizing!!!

Wonderful and enchanting book elaborating the high exalted Gopis’ glorification of Lord Krishna’s flute from the Srimad Bhagvatam’s 21st Chapter of the 10th canto. As is the case with all of HH Sivarama Swami Maharaja’s books, this book flows gently and effortlessly, demonstrates Maharaja’s literary skills, and is encapsulated with philosophical explanations and commentaries by previous Vaishnava acharyas.

Veṇu-gītā is a beautiful exploration of Kṛṣṇa's flute pastimes. It brought tears to my eyes as I read about the divine love conveyed through His music.
