We live in an age of overload—more websites, more information, more communication—yet little that answers life’s most pressing questions. Fake news and false promises abound, leaving us more confused than ever before. In this book, Śivarāma Swami offers reflections that cut through the noise, returning us to what is real: the eternal wisdom of the Vedic literatures.

Each entry addresses the everyday questions that trouble the heart: Who am I? How do I find peace? Why do we suffer? How do I live meaningfully in a fragile world? From karma and death to technology, relationships, pandemics, and sustainability, His answers are simple, practical, and rooted in bhakti. They remind us that beyond the headlines, beyond the turbulence, lies a soul seeking clarity and connection.

The Swami on Life in a Faltering World is not a final word but a guidepost. It points the reader again and again toward the timeless wisdom of the Vedas, encouraging us to see daily challenges through a spiritual lens, and to live with courage, humility, and faith.

Honestly, this book came to me at the perfect time. Reading this is like sitting down with a wise friend. Sivarama Swami has this way of taking deep spiritual ideas and explaining them so clearly that you feel like, Yeah, I can apply this to my life right now. It’s not preachy or heavy—it’s practical, relatable, and full of these little “aha” moments that really make you think. If you’re feeling stuck, stressed, or just wondering how to make sense of everything going on in the world, you’ve got to read this. Highly recommend!

This book from Sivarama Swami is a very good stepping stone for anyone who wants to dip their toes into the crystal clear and beautiful lake of spiritual life. But it's not just for newcomers, but also for those who have been practicing for a while, as well as searchers, theists, atheists, and everyone in between. Many people are looking for something but don't even know what for, they just know that there are too many problems in this world and too few solutions, which usually don't even work. Maharaja points out a lot of problems and issues, and he also provides very practical and logical solutions from the ancient Vedic scriptures. The book also includes personal stories, such as those of Maharaja's dear mother and father who survived the Holocaust, with his mom even spending time in a concentration camp. Overall, it is a very interesting, sad, happy, and practical read. It's a book that's impossible to put down, enriched further by the brilliant addition of QR codes that link to videos referenced within the text. You don't even have to read it from the start, you can begin anywhere because the stories are not linear. It’s a fun thing to do to just open it randomly and see what Krishna wants to tell you today. I highly recommend it for everyone.
